Every dish I create is a question posed to the ancestors, what did your hands know that mine are just learning? What flavors did you carry across oceans, hide in your braids, whisper into pots when no one was listening?

My name is Bella Jones, and I'm a chef and food historian on a mission to reclaim the half of my heritage I was never taught to taste while continuing the legacy and reclamation of the southern cuisine my southern ancestors names were erased from.
